The two portions
Vayakhel — “And he assembled”
Moses gathers the people, recalls the Sabbath, and collects their offerings for the Tabernacle. The people give so generously they must be told to stop. Bezalel and the craftsmen build the Tabernacle, its furnishings, and the priestly vestments.

An account is given of all the materials used in the Tabernacle. The priestly garments are completed and everything is brought to Moses. The Tabernacle is erected, and the cloud of God’s presence fills it.
